More than £300,000 has been invested in Radwell Europe’s facility after significant growth in 2015 due to the increase of employees and test capabilities.
Like its parent company based in New Jersey USA, Radwell EU specialises in solutions that combine supply-chain procurement with life cycle asset management offering repairs, surplus options, factory new products and onsite field services. Radwell exports to more than 140 countries in EMEA, with exports accounting for 50 per cent of sales.
In order to attain an outstanding service to customers from all corners of the continent, in 2015 Radwell recruited over 50 multilingual staff in all areas of operations. As the number of names on the payroll increased, a demand for an extension to Radwell-Europe's state of the art facility was urgently needed to accommodate the sales, accounting, purchasing and engineering departments.
Amongst the 70 extra staff hired, Radwell has employed 29 young apprentices in logistics, accounting and the engineer department. With the support of the local colleges, Radwell has offered these young people the chance to kick start a career in the niche market of industrial automation.
As well as taking on enthusiastic candidates, Radwell has invested its resources into building an advanced robotics testing centre containing six robots and over 2,400 test fixtures. This dedicated area has opened up more opportunities to test and repair parts from over 18,000 manufacturers including equipment such as ABB S3, S4 and IRC 5 system (2009) robots, CNC machinery and an array of servo motors.
The significant success has meant that Radwell Europe will be launching a new high tech facility in Krefeld, Germany this year to continue the supply of industrial electronics and maintenance services to its neighbouring countries.
2016 will see further growth with more recruitment drives in the UK and Germany for the purchasing, sales support production department.
